C-section purlins (or cee section) are predominantly used for Wall and Floor Joists of a building's shell structure and are ideal for Agricultural buildings, Industrial buildings, Commercial buildings, and various other applications. As insinuated by that name, these purlins are formed in the shape of a c, and can be used either in conjunction with other C-section purlins, as a continuous, or in conjunction with Z-section purlins. These remarkably resistant, durable, and aesthetically pleasing C Section Purlins are produced by our venerable C and Z Roll forming Machines, which automatically produce such en masse and at high speeds. Our Machines can be used to produce C purlins in various thicknesses and dimensions according to your exact requirements, allowing for our purlin roll-forming machines can produce a vast range of structural purlins. The metal is fed continuously through the roll-forming machine (either galvanized or cold rolled steel strips), and is bent, punched, and cut to size according to the specifications fed into the machine. Along with embellishments stated hitherto, an easy, reliable operation is also one of the key factors we provide.

But What are purlins?

Purlins are used to build the metal framework of many different building types. The framework is constructed in such a way as to support the weight of roofing sheets or wall cladding that is subsequently attached, providing a robust skeleton to ensure the building remains safe and secure. The vast majority of purlins are made from metal (though some are made from wood), as galvanized steel purlins can offer superior strength and durability as well as be cost-effective.

What can they be used for?

C section purlins are ideal for the following applications, and more:

  • Industrial Buildings
  • Agricultural Buildings
  • Mezzanine Floors
  • Ceiling Supports
  • Refurbishments
  • Floor and wall Joists
  • Commercial Buildings
  • Side cladding
  • Roofing
What purlins provide in construction:

Metal roofing purlins, specifically C-section purlins, are fundamental to the structural functions of a construction. Not only is the roof protected by the purlins, but purlins are able to join the rafters, letting the structure burgeon through the rigid structural support. Further, the purlins provide additional support in between the individual framing bays. Finally, purlins can ensure additional structure resistance to rainfall and other harsh elements, making them essential to any construction project.
